Please join #TCProbation in congratulating William Jones on his promotion to Supervising Probation Officer. William earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology from California State University, Fresno in May 2012. William began his career with the department on July 1, 2012, as a Probation Correctional Officer and on May 5, 2013, became a Deputy Probation Officer. On September 16, 2018, William was promoted to Deputy Probation Officer III and has been assigned to var...ious units including: SB 678 Unit, Adult Assessment Unit, Juvenile Family Preservation Unit and most recently the RESET Unit. Aside from his assigned duties, he has served as a CAIS/JAIS instructor and a Range Master for the department. William has a strong work ethic, sets high standards for himself, is detail oriented, has a desire to excel and works diligently with clients so they may address their needs. He believes in our profession and how engagement and individualized supervision practices yield positive outcomes. He exemplifies professionalism, establishes appropriate boundaries and is willing to do-the-work to accomplish his goals. See more

Ryan Smith and Priscilla Elizondo have extensive experience and knowledge through various assignments and have an understanding and desire to support the department’s continued growth and development. It is with great pleasure that #TCProbation announce the promotion of Brian Kern to Interim Supervising Probation Officer. Brian began his career with the department on October 24, 2011, as a Probation Correctional Officer. In July 2012, he graduated from the Fresno Pacific University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Criminology and Restorative Justice. In October 2013, Brian was promoted to a Deputy Probation Officer I, in September 2018, he was promoted to a Deputy Probat...ion Officer III, and in Mary of 2020, he was promoted to Deputy Probation Officer IV. Brian has been assigned to Team Supervision, Adult Placement and Veteran’s Court, SB 678, and more recently the Professional Standards Unit. Aside from his assigned duties, Brian also serves as a rangemaster, SIMS instructor and a Field Training Officer. Brian has proven his ability to lead and have oversight of multiple projects, and to think broadly and assess situations objectively while maintaining a high level of performance and professionalism. Brian understands what it takes for fulfill the Department’s Vision, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, and has shown true commitment to public service. See more
