Jade Buddha of Universal Peace Did you see the beautifully carved jade Buddha that toured around the world between 2009 and 2018, including 40 cities in the U.S. and Canada? The lovely Buddha was carved from a single piece of nephrite jade that weighed 18 tons. Sitting on an alabaster base that is 4.5 feet high, the Buddha itself is almost 9 feet tall, making it the largest Buddha carved from gemstone in the world. Not surprisingly, it is valued at about $25 million. The purpose of the touring Buddha was to raise awareness of Buddhism and to promote peace. Due to the Buddha’s popularity, a tour scheduled initially for six months turned into a nine-year event. with over 7,000,000 people viewing him. The Buddha is now back home in Bendigo, Victoria, in Australia (about 93 miles northwest of Melbourne).

! - Today begins the Chinese ‘lunar’ New Year and the year of the OX. An OX is reliable, dependable, tenacious, and responsible. They complete what they’ve started no matter how long it takes. The year of the OX is the time to be practical, stay the course, and err on the side of stability. In honor of the masters who spent their last embodiment in China: Confucius, Kuan Yin, Lord Lanto, Fu...n Whey, Lord Ling (Ascended Masters), and Lao Tzu (an unascended master), we may want to dedicate this year to acquiring good karma, doing good deeds, being helpful, reaching out to those who can use a hand, and being patient with ourselves and othersin other words, being like an OX. When [your] karma is descending in the mental quadrant, 50 percent of it is physical. When [your] karma is descending in the astral quadrant, 75 percent of it is physical. And when it is descending in the physical quadrant, the entire force and weight of that karma descends. Another way of looking at it is: When you create karma in your etheric body, 75 percent of it returns to you in your etheric body and 25 percent of it returns to you in your physical body. When you create karma in the mental body, you receive 50 percent of it in your mental body and 50 percent in your physical body. When you create karma in your emotional body, you receive 25 percent of it in your emotional body and 75 percent of it in your physical body.
