Tree Lodi

Our May 1th Arbor Day program wouldn't have been complete without Boy Scout Troop 199 and Lodi Girl Scout Daisies Troop.

Lodi named 'Tree City USA' once again. Every year for the past 19 years Lodi has been honored by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to increase and maintain our trees. Tree Lodi members volunteer for planting young trees in the city parks. Tree City USA signs around the city have the updated stickers - 19 Years - on Lower Sacramento Rd, Turns Rd. and Cherokee Lane.

The PRSC Activity Guide is filled with detail, including contacts and City Parks information about shelter and picnic area rentals.

Another memorial tree planting with the help of Tree Lodi. Son Gary Case, granddaughter Dina Will, and family shared in planting a magnolia tree IMF Shirley Gregg. Tree Lodi members on hand were Steve Dutra, Bill Nantt, Steve Sanguinetti, Nancy Mehlhaff, Barbara Utting, and Gordon Schmierer

March 6th was a special day for Dorothy Ross, family and friends as they remembered Joe H. Ross with a memorial tree planting at Peterson Park. Tree Lodi arranged for the planting in the northeast corner of the park off Evergreen Dr. Joining Tree Lodi volunteers was Boy Scout Graydin Kettelman. By planting memorial trees, you not only honor the life and legacy of your loved one....you also help to preserve our beautiful parks.
