On 4-28-18 @alra.fiq was driving home one night. I Wasn’t under any influence, no speeding. I get to a red light on Highland and Sunset Blvd, and my car cut off. I put the car in park, turned the car off and tried to start it up again. After trying several times and not succeeding, I then call my mom it’s like 5am on the east coast and tell her what happened. She then says I am going to call AAA to have you towed. By the time she calls me back to tell me that the tow truck i...s on the way. Several cop cars coming at me with sirens . My mom is on the phone like Rafiq what’s happening I say to her give me one sec. They’re yelling through the intercom Get the fuck out the car I look in the rear view mirror and count the cars. It’s legit 15 cars surrounding me in an oval. So I’m instructed to open the car door from the outside and put my hands behind my head. Easily I start crying immediately. I’m instructed to turn around and keep my hands behind my head. I turn around with the spotlight in my face and shot guns pointed at me. I’m then instructed to take one step forward and then a step side. I was then tackled and thrown into a police truck as they searched my car, run my license plate several times and drivers license trying to find something. After about 15 mins they clear me to go and say it was a mistaken car identity we were looking for a Dodge Durango ! I was driving a 2016 Dodge Dart. I’m screaming and crying hysterically because I really couldn’t believe that happened to me. They drove off immediately leaving a card on my dash board. My friend came to get me. That had to be the scariest thing ever because just to think had I flinched they would of shot me. Thank God I’m covered by the blood because my life definitely flashed before my eyes! Very few people know about this situation I threw it in the back of my head and never talked about it. As I marched yesterday, I thought about all the countless others that has experienced police brutality. Many have lost their lives and it saddens me because it could have been anyone.
