Trackers Earth 28.12.2020

As we reflect on a year like few others, we can turn to lessons in nature for guidance into the next. We know that nature works in cycles, and that the current state is never the absolute way. Life will change and adapt. As the days get brighter, so will our connection to each other and the future. Trackers Earth is grateful to and appreciates our community for their support through the uncertainties and challenges of 2020 and we are looking forward to friends, fun, and nature connection in the year ahead! #trackersearth #natureconnection #happynewyear #gooutdoors

New Blog: It's Friluftsliv Time! Friluftsliv is a Scandinavian word that means fresh air life. The word encompasses a Nordic idea that even in the dark of winter, in the snow, in below zero temperatures, it’s essential that we get outside and connect with nature for our mental health and happiness, for our spiritual well-being. While staying inside feels easy and good in the moment, it doesn’t feed our souls. Fear not! With the right gear and preparation, it’s not too hard ...to get your kids out in the snow and have a fun family adventure. New Blog: Looking for a Great Holiday Gift for Your Kid? Get Them A Knife! As the gift-giving season approaches, consider giving your kids one of the most useful tools on the planet: a knife! Carving is an awesome activity for kids to do when they are stuck at home. They can carve indoors or outside in the yard, alone or with friends. They can create useful tools or purely imaginative works of art. Kids crave a connection to nature and knife carving can provide that connec...tion, leading to powerful results. What other tool can a kid use to make their own fishing pole and hook to catch a fish, then gut the fish, then shave feather sticks to build a fire and cook that fish? Guild Guide: Mariners At Trackers we have four Guilds: Rangers, Wilders, Mariners & Artisans. The Mariners Guild sails by salty wisdom. They travel by creek, river, and sea, fishing and foraging. They chart a course by the stars, currents, and tides. A Mariner connects to the waters and all life in it. On the Trackers Compass, the Mariners motto is Respect:... Follow the Flow, appreciating the way of all things. Welcome the Sunrise and Sunset, saluting creatures and elements of the Earth, Sea, and Sky. Greet the Waters, offering deep thanks and gratitude. Chart the Mariners Course to discover the Original Ocean. A Mariner carries these lessons and more as they navigate the world around them. Explore our Mariners camps today!

New Blog: CAR CAMPING [PART 1 OF 2] Car camping is a lot simpler than backpacking. Anyone can do it. You can pack everything you might possibly need (including the kitchen sink), and if you forget something like marshmallows (or god forbid coffee!), you can zip off to the store. Car camping is a wonderful way to get you and your kids out in nature without having to be an outdoor wilderness expert. https://blog.trackersearth.com/blog/car-camping-part-1-of-2/... #trackersearth #getoutside #wanderout #natureconnection #camping
