At TPC, Power Throwing is not about just picking up a weighted baseball and throwing it. It’s not about loading up a bunch of weight and lifting it. Power Throwing is about identifying 1 or 2 mechanical weaknesses in a players throwing delivery and taking a sniper shot approach to addressing those areas for improvement. In the Power Throwing development program, players receive custom throwing programs designed to help address their specific needs. On the throwing side of Po...wer Throwing, our programs are curated by @coachkk21 who has been leading Power Throwing at TPC for nearly two decades. Additionally, @jasonsekany who founded Power Throwing continues to consult and assist our staff in making Power Throwing the best product possible. Power Throwing workouts are led by Kevin as well as other Power Throwing instructors who have multiple years of personal experience going through the program. In the weight room, players also receive workout programs designed to address their physical needs. These programs are put together by @mgmirra who has a Masters degree in Kinesiology and has spent the last two decades training some of the Bay Areas best athletes. Gene has worked with the San Francisco 49ers, the USA Rugby National Team, and spent 11 years as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at St. Mary’s college where he worked with multiple MLB and NBA players. Starting January 17th TPC will be starting its inaugural Winter Live At Bat League! This league is for players ages 15+ and will play on Sunday afternoons for 4 consecutive weeks. Each week hitters will throw 25-50 pitches to hitters who will get 8-12 at bats. All at bats will have data tracked by Rapsodo and Hittrax! This league is the perfect way to compete, prepare for the season, and get live data that can help with your recruiting process. Carlos H. may only be an 8th grader. However, he is a name you’re going to get used to hearing a lot more often in the upcoming years. Carlos is already up to 79 MPH on the mound, 81 MPH on Happy Gilmores. Oh, and he’s just starting to learn how to use the lower half of body in Power Throwing classes! Carlos has an awesome upside as a player. However, what makes Carlos special is his work ethic, his positive attitude, and his passion for the game of baseball. Since we re-opened our facility on June 1st, nobody has attended more classes at TPC than Carlos. Carlos embodies everything that #TPCTapIn is all about #TPCTopPerformers #TPCPowerThrowing

Monday Night Classes

We wrap up the Power Throwing Invitational with Ethan Kwan. @lil_kwany is an uncommitted Junior at Livermore High School. Ethan topped out at 84 MPH on the mound and 90 MPH on Happy Gilmores. Ethan is also in pursuit of a 5.0 GPA this semester. #TPCTopPerformers

Next up, 8th grader RHP Carlos Hernandez GHS ('25) is up to 78 mph mound and 81mph HGs.

DHS SR LHP ('21) is up to 84 on the mound and 88 HGs with a 4 pitch mix.
