TBT: nearly 10 years ago we started planning an incredibly memorable experience - harvest stage @m_chapoutier in the #rhonevalley. It was the first time I made wines from #biodynamic grapes, fell in love with #Syrah, and truly learned the meaning of terroir. We were fortunate live with the winemaker who shared many vintages of Chapoutier’s mind blowing parcellaire wines. To this day this experience inspires my winemaking approach... especially when making our Estate Syrah! ... Another fond memory during this trip was of harvesting olives in Tuscany with @kay.bouchard & family to make olive oil. A welcomed sight and sound in North Coast of California today. After a long hot summer, we are grateful to get some rain and for nature’s cycles and rhythm that keep us grounded. The vines on the mountain are still green, but getting ready for winter dormancy. A time to exhale.

How does a winemaker do Friday? Start off with @vitis_californica killer cider. Local Gravenstein apples and foraged wild grapes.
