Why not install TALAVERA tiles on the façade of a commercial building in San Jose. Typically hand made these tiles are different but together form united artistic composition. It reminds me of our city, we are all slightly different but together we form a beautiful colorful mosaic of traditions and cultures. TAN JOSE NO MORE!
This client came to TOPA architecture because they like our use of color, they won’t be disappointed. Our team is doing an amazing job on the massing study for this mixed use development.
Our team is working on a massing sturdy for a mixed-use building. The design concept is to be simple yet bold. I just hope the city does not come back and asks me to paint it tan.
Welcome center at Valley Christian High School. TOPA Architecture provided schematic design and renderings for this new building. The idea is to keep it very open with plenty of glass and take advantage of the beautiful views of San Jose you get on this campus. #architecture #sanjoseca
TOPA Architecture designed this new gym for Valley Christian High School. We are using plenty of roll up doors to bring the outside air in and take advantage of the wonderful weather we have in San Jose. Why waste energy on conditioning air when naturally is very comfortable most of the year. #architecture #sustainability #sanjosecalifornia
Why not rebuild a New San Jose Light Tower in the same location of the original? I had this idea in my mind for a few years; why not combine the original design and the concept of the St Louis Arch? The result is a sculpture that pays homage to the innovation of the original structure but it has the potential to create an Icon that could define San Jose. Like the St Louis Arch did to St Louis, the Eiffel Tower did to Paris, or the Space Needle did to Seattle. BART and VTA can name their future nearby stop as the Light Tower stop

We completed this supermarket last year. It has a small foot print but we packed allot of product and allot of character. Mi Tiendita, 3145 Payne Ave, San Jose.
Nice article in the San Jose Business Journal, we need more permanent open space downtown, we have beautiful weather almost year round, let's enjoy it more. https://lnkd.in/gvURKUA
We had lots of fun designing this dog park and demonstration garden for San Jose Downtown Association. Now dog owners in downtown will have a place to take their lovely pets.
This was our entry to the Urban Confluence SV design competition. Since there was no preset design criteria I decided explore in a purely artistic expression what I thought the monument should look like. The result was The Light of Innovation, a sculpture that you can climb and blends indigenous and modern concepts to bridge yesterday and tomorrow in today’s context. Built out of steel, stone and glass to give it a timeless feel that could last generations and will never go out of style.
Adaptive reuse of this former industrial building to an office space for Terrascape Ventures and Mauricio Mejia. Historic buildings have so much character that we have to do little to make the space look amazing
New HQ for Terrascape Ventures and Mauricio Mejia. The historic building was minimally disturbed and the client is ready to move in.
Sunflower Child Development Center in Santa Clara. TOPA Architecture provided all services needed from Conceptual Design, Special Use Permit, Construction Documents and Constructing Observation. A fun fact, the 100 year old original water tower was repurposed to be a small classroom.
Preschool for 40 children, TOPA Architecture was commissioned to obtain a Special Use Permit and Building Permit to renovate 3 buildings and make them the home of Sunflower Child Development Center in Santa Clara.
Accessory Dwelling Units or ADU’s contribute to alleviate the housing shortage but also they can provide the homeowner additional income. If mother-in-law is inevitably moving in this is a great alternative. TOPA Architecture provides professional services for the design, permitting and construction observation for these innovative building types. http://www.topaarchitecture.com/
