Dear PXers and Parents, With everything that has been happening, many of us are heart broken, in disbelief, or even outraged. We think it is important to speak up on the current issues and not remain silent. We are an organization that teaches the youth, and we know that they look to us for guidance. We want to guide our kids in the same way that Jesus guides us: to love one another, to respect one another, and to always choose right from wrong. If we are to teach our childre...n that we are all created equally in God’s image, then we must also teach them that racism and discrimination are wrong. We cannot turn a blind eye to the injustices the Black community faces, and we must look to God’s teachings to guide us so that our actions can help end injustice for our brothers and sisters in Christ. We pray for the souls of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and all others who have had their lives unjustly taken from them too soon. We pray that God opens our hearts and our minds so that we may become better Catholics and better allies to our brothers and sisters who have endured the wrongs of racism and oppression for far too long. Starting now, let’s commit to loving, empathizing, and understanding. In order to do that, we must listen and we must learn. We are including a Google Doc with movies, books, articles, and more that can raise our understanding and awareness. We would like to officially announce that we will not be resuming Thieu Nhi in person. However, we will continue to do our virtual sinh hoats until May 16th. With that said, i Hi Ngn Sng has also been cancelled in person but we are planning to do it virtually on June 26-28. We hope to see everyone there and representing PX! We are sad that we can't officially say bye in person but we hope to see everyone next year! Thank you for all the support and encouragements this year! We are truly blessed with great kids and parents! PX family forever!
