Tippett's International Client Services Manager, June Wang, started a fundraiser "Protect T: Child Sexual Abuse Prevention in China" on GoFundMe. Her aim is to raise $10,000 to help educate nearly 900 children, their caregivers, and school staff about child sexual abuse prevention in the rural areas of Henan Province in Central China. More than 50% of these children are left-behind children, meaning children who stay at home with their grandparents or extended family membe...rs in rural areas while their parents leave to work in the cities. The lack of parental care makes them more vulnerable to sexual abuse. "Protect T" can help these left-behind children, their caregivers, teachers, and local communities to learn and face up to child sexual abuse and learn how to prevent it.
