Artist in residence Alberto Lule Making drawings using forensic fingerprint powder. I consider myself an investigator that investigates the investigators. I use this criminology method as a form of reclamation and observation of authoritative methods and techniques used by agents of authority. @tierrabuenatattoos

High Beams started out as a way to get together and do something that wasn't binge watching TV and being bored. It's for our friends who love to curate, love to look, and ultimately a way for our community to stick together and have fun in these very un-fun times. High Beams 2 is switching up the format, last time it was a a drive thru, this time it's spooky walk ups on Halloween! More info soon so stay tuned!
Our co-director, Carl "" Baratta, has a starting show opening this Thursday online via our friends at Open Mind. Ch ch ch check it out! https://www.artsy.net/sh/open-mind-art-space-tracing-trails

Our next contribution for Auxiliary Art Laboratory Projects comes from one of our friends overseas, Quinda Verheul. Please watch this playful video she made of a DIY postcard. Very fitting for times like this. Be sure to share/tag us with your fabulous cards! Here is a little about Quinda in her own words: My parents called me Quinda, no idea what it means, but I like it. I have a love for desolated landscapes such as mountains, ocean and sky. The landscape and how we treat t...hat landscape, as well the way we behave as humans, plays an important role in my art practice. Next to making art, I’m also teaching art and practice ultra racing by bike, something that gets me to experience the landscape to the fullest. And than in general I would say I am an enthusiast and see potential of developing several projects parallel to each other. But really I enjoy to bring people together from different layers in society and enable better conditions in general for underrepresented communities in society and create awareness for our world and landscape. I believe strongly that art and culture is key in this process and hope to develop a strong organisation and collaborate worldwide to connect communities and ideas.
