Do you know what to do if your carbon monoxide (CO) detector goes off? 1. Check to see if any member of your household is experiencing symptoms of poisoning. 2. If anyone is experiencing symptoms, get everyone out of the home immediately. Call 911 and seek medical attention for those affected. 3. If no one is feeling symptoms, ventilate the home with fresh air and turn off all potential sources of CO, to include a gas stove, oven, furnace, dryer or vehicle. A message from the 61st Air Base Group Leadership: Halloween is quickly approaching and we here at the 61st Air Base Group wanted to provide a friendly reminder... to stay safe and remain vigilant against the COVID-19 threat that is facing our community. Thankfully, Los Angeles County has recently seen improvements in the local COVID-19 conditions and we all need to do our part to help this great trend continue. With that in mind, we would like to remind our residents that, in accordance with LA County Department of Public Health Guidance, door-to-door trick-or-treating is not recommended. Traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating does not allow our residents to minimize contact with non-household members and this activity increases the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Please keep the safety of not only your family, but that of other families in mind. Instead of going door-to-door, we invite you to participate in a free Drive-Thru Trunk-or-Treat on Friday 30-October, courtesy of the 61st Force Support Squadron and other Los Angeles Air Force Base organizations! We will be providing free Halloween treats to Fort MacArthur, Pacific Crest and Pacific Heights families. Registration is required!
