Thumperdome wanted to update everyone that attended our Special Olympics World Games Sponsor An Athlete Pinball Fundraiser last month. In the end, we raised just over $4500 for the athletes and were able to sponsor one athlete completely and a second athlete 80%. The first athlete, Mark Steeg, is a gymnast from the Netherlands and he went home with SIX MEDALS! TWO GOLD and FOUR SILVER!!! Way to go, Mark! The second athlete, Zachary Wicht, is a basketball player from New Zealand. We were lucky enough to watch him compete in the finals match at USC last Friday. Zachary and his team went home with a SILVER MEDAL! Watch the video of the two teams celebrating below. Zach is #6 in the black uniform. Thanks, everybody, for helping their dreams come true!
