How To Grow Fodder Fodder for rabbits. Fodder for quail. This is day 6 of the fodder grow. There is milky white water in the bottom of the grow trays and the water inside the reservoir is the same. I had to flush the system with clean water. I pumped out the water in the reservoir and ran water into the grow trays to fill up the reservoir. The first tray I planted has a small amount of fungus. Fodder grow system update. Day 5.

Day 1 of fodder system. The fodder trays are working great. Watch video of our system.

Fodder trays are ready. The temperature is cool enough to grow fodder for my rabbits and quail inside my grow/fish room. The fodder grow trays ebb and flow three times a day for 3 minutes. Using a pump inside a 35 gallon brute rubber trash can. The pump is connected to a timer.... Takes 4 cups of barley seeds to fill each grow tray. I soak the seeds in 3 gallons of water with about 3 tablespoons of bleach. I will plant the seeds into the tray tomorrow. No soil. Just barley seeds. I will have to soak seeds and plant everyday. It should be ready to harvest in 7 days.
