RECOVERY TIP Do you feel worn out? Knees hurt? Low back tight? Feeling low energy? When it comes to exercise, try to do your best to MIX LOW INTENSITY WITH HIGH INTENSITY.... If you’re always working out intensely, too frequently, you could be doing more harm than good. Remember, we get stronger and in better condition when our body is resting and recovering, NOT while exercising. KEEP THE HEALTH AND FITNESS PUZZLE IN MIND 1/3 is exercising consistently.. 1/3 is eating nutritious foods, in the right amounts, consistently 1/3 is giving your body enough time to rest and recover TIPS Sleep 7 to 9 hours per day Mix low intensity workouts and high intensity workouts Take time out to stretch and work on your flexibility Try walking, swimming, biking, and hiking for low intensity workouts Have a great week everyone!! CONSISTENCY = SUCCESS. It takes time to build muscle, and it takes time to lose body fat. I’m starting to see some nice development in my upper body musculature.... Here a few things that have helped me along the way: Being consistent with my exercise Keeping a weight lifting journal to log my weights Doing a nice mix of high intensity and low intensity workouts Meal prepping consistently on Sundays Eating whole, minimally processed foods consistently Eating slowly and mindfully to 80% full Getting 7-9 hours of sleep each day Drinking plenty of water (I don’t drink sugar sweetened beverages or alcohol) There are no magic secrets. Just the fundamentals done CONSISTENTLY over time. If you struggle with the fundamentals, I recommend getting a good coach! **eh ehm** See more

Between your goals and achievement lies DISCIPLINE and CONSISTENCY. It’s easy to get excited about starting something new. That’s when you’re really motivated, things are fresh, and you’re excited for each day. EVENTUALLY, life is going to get in your way, doubt will creep in, laziness will hit you, you might feel unmotivated, and that’s 100% normal and to be expected.... The key is understanding that it’s not always going to go perfect all the time. You’re gonna have your ups, and you’re gonna have your downs. But ONE THING must prevail, you must never quit. Shoot for 1% better each day as opposed to perfection. That’s a long-term mindset that will help you keep maintaining progress through the thick and thin! Have a great week! -THP : intrinsic_strength See more
