Often, fulfilling these roles precludes any other occupation or participation in education or earning an income. The well is drilled next to a Catholic school alongside a medical center and numbered 524 well. The last two digits play tribute to Kobe Bryant’s jersey numbers while with the Lakers. At this moment 300 children wait with great excitement to drink clean water for the first time at the Kobe and Gianna Memorial well. I am thankful to Vanessa for acknowledging this work. This is a simple act of service that brings life hope and inspiration to these 300 young children. We feel that this is what Kobe and Gianna inspired so many people to do. Wonderful read! We are honored to be part of September's Echo Feature- Hope Springs from Hume's Well. Wells of Life continues to inspire others the way John Hume inspires the world. His devotion to positive societal change continues to carry on. To acknowledge and pledge his work, Wells of Life recently drilled a well in his name by a primary school in Uganda. This well will provide water to up to 1,000 children for up to 25 years. For every well we build, infant mortality rate drops significantly.
