My heart stopped a few months back when I checked my email to find a response from the casting of the television show Making It @nbcmakingit ! I had applied 2 years in a row but this was the first reply I had received. They asked for more photos of things I’d made and I scrambled to collect them a google drive of my best work. And then a week ago I got the rejection email that announced the finalists had been selected. It was sad but not heartbreaking. To be honest just getting an email from casting alone, felt like an indication that I’m on the right track. They noticed me and that only fuels my fire more to keep trying for opportunities such as this. Rejection... it’s inevitable but it’s not personal.
