Happy Sunday friends! This little beauty actually went out last week! This mermaid theme party was focused around teal and purple colors, so I stuck to that but added some gold flair! And an ocean/mermaid cake isn’t complete without a little splash of water up top

Yee haw!!! Oh how I LOVED creating this cake! My kids (who rarely even glance at what I’m making these days) even named all the animals and begged for their own farm cakes for their birthday ... Which basically means this is the best cake ever! #farmparty

One last winter themed cake before we move on in to the new year... This is actually a smash cake from awhile back I hand cut those bear cookies for the record because it was just too expensive to buy bear cookie cutters for such a small cake ... It worked out really well! #bearcake

This has been such a sweet change this year. Less hectic baking. (No shame in that though, I see you my hard working baker friends!!) Time for morning coffee, exercise, home cooked meals and time with my family. ... My last spooky cakes of the season! (Truthfully the IT cake was a remake I did for a client weeks ago! I just never got around to posting it ) My other client will be adding a character from the Trick ‘r Treat to the top of the cake! Happy Halloween Everyone!!!

Late post! (Aren’t they all now and days?! ) This was from a wedding I got to do a few weeks back! I’m so lucky because I had the pleasure of doing the bachelorette cake (naughty cactus) and the bridal shower (lemon cupcakes!) and the wedding for this bride! It’s the first time I’ve ever done that and it was SO fun to be a part of it all! ... Things you can’t see in this picture.... 1. this cake shimmered! I added a subtle luster dust to the buttercream so it had a gorgeous glow that just can’t be photographed! And... 2. This cake was three different flavors, AND the bride chose three different flavors of cupcakes too! This wedding party had such a huge variety to choose from, which is so fun when you’re eating cake!

I had the pleasure of making this cake for my sweet new neighbors! This cake was so fun to make! Custom fondant characters (we won’t talk about how long those took ) And a girly dusk/sunset (with lots of glitter!!) ... I made a PJ mask cake 2 years ago, and this gave me an opportunity to see my growth! Nothing was wrong with my last one, but my characters have definitely improved, and so have my airbrush skills! #pjmasks

A tacoTWOsday cake.... but make it girly! My client sent me a picture of their invite, and it helped so much because I knew I could get away with straying from the traditional colors a fiesta theme cake would call for! @crumbavenue was 100% my inspiration for this adorable llama topper (which I of course made with RKT and chocolate to keep it as a treat!) ... And I piled on alllllll the tiny tacos, which were modeling chocolate shells, cake pop mix meat, water paper lettuce, sprinkle tomato and cheese and frosting sour cream! Each one was a yummy treat in itself! I just LOVED this cake!! It had all the sparkles, tiny details and decor that I could possibly pile in there! It was one of my last cakes on the calendar for the year (thanks #distancelearning) so I wanted to go out with a bang!

So for some reason I can’t create a poll... but.... As many of you know I have stopped taking custom orders for the rest of the year to better serve my kids and household during this distance learning time of our lives. However! I wanted to put some feelers out there to see if there was much interest in me doing flash sale cakes for the holidays again this year? ... Basically I’d make a bunch of similar cakes, in festive flavors (and designs) and list them before Thanksgiving and Christmas (just like I did last year if you were here for that!) Unicorn cakes are clearly never going out of style! But that doesn’t mean we can’t bring them up a level! This unicorn cake topper (made from RKT and chocolate) came out EXACTLY as I imagined! Off balance, arms up in celebration... cute as a button! Birthday girls mama happens to be one of my greatest friends, and she was sweet enough to send me a video of her reaction to her birthday cake, and it was epic! ... #Unicorncake

When my friend told me they were having a magician party, I knew INSTANTLY I wanted to make a bunny coming out of a hat!! Covid has made blowing out candles on a cake less than desirable so I asked if the bunny could be holding a bottle sparkler Because.... magic! ... Look bottom line, I’m obsessed with this cake I don’t even have my own photos uploaded off the camera yet but I wanted to share this one taken at the party! It’s everything I pictured it being! Let it be known that if you’re having a party with a super fun theme I’m probably going to get carried away on the cake!

I love a good semi-naked cake! And when my ganache acts right and drips perfectly, it’s a perfect combination. This pretty cake was for one of my wonderful regular clients/friends who just had a beautiful baby girl! Minecraft Cake! Complete with Enderdragon and Herobrine! Weston specifically asked for a cake from me for his birthday which made my week! AND his mama sent me a pic of him enjoying this whole cake to himself with a fork! ... What a way to celebrate!

To be honest, I wasn’t totally sure about this cake design... even seeing other ones that had been done similar, I just didn’t love it. BUT... oh baby it came together! My client wanted more vibrant colors, a gold tiara, a castle and for Arial to be front and center for their beach celebration. Basically everything she asked for is what made this cake PERFECTION! ... This was one of those cakes I kept sneaking out to peek at in the fridge and to snap pics to send my friends, I just loved it so much! And even better my clients and her twins loved it even more than I did! That’s what it’s all about!

Just a set of smash cakes for the most adorable twins! Their mama was even sweet enough to send me their photoshoot pictures! Funny story, I completely misunderstood our text exchange, and she wanted ONE cake half pink and half blue for them to smash in to ... I realize I messed up the night before she was going to pick up the cake and I panic and text her my mistake, and let her know that if she WANTS two cakes she can have one for free (because the thought of starting over at 8pm was soul crushing) Luckily she was thrilled!! She had wanted two cakes anyways, but was trying to save some cost by ordering one! So she was happy and I was happy! Phew! #happyaccidents

This little guy was for a small group of ladies to celebrate their bride to be friend at her Final Fiesta! My friend told me I could do whatever I wanted for this cake theme, and this guy is a first of his kind. I could NOT find one single cactus cake shaped like a to reference This is so fun for me because I’ll actually be doing this brides wedding cake later this year God willing. :)

Oooooh this pretty cake just gives me all the feels! Blush buttercream with rose gold accents is one heck of a combo! Hiding inside was a fruit basket filling of whipped cream, strawberries, bananas and blue berries!

The video quality is never very good on Facebook, but this little camper has so many fun details!

One of my best friends daughter, whom we lovingly refer to as Brookie Cookie loves puppy dog pals! I can’t make cookies, so I asked Sugar Sweetery in Rancho Cordova to create this custom cookie topper for me!!! Once there was a cookie, I had to add more treats! So meringue pops, lollipops and cake truffles also adorable this adorable little cake!

I have a client who regularly buys simpler cakes from me, but then she decorated them with flowers, macs and strawberries etc! So this is one of those, but honestly it was pretty just as is! I made meringues for the first time this week for those little dollops and boy my kids loved having the extras!

These flowers reminded me of wild flowers when put together.. and those little white ones? Those are chamomile flowers!!
