The Station

I'm sorry to say that I won't be able to open The Station this summer due to the pandemic. I am over 70, have a compromised immune system and frankly, I'm not the spring chicken I used to be. It is available for lease if anyone is interested.

Make an offer or tell me why you would love to have these for your Christmas dinner but can't afford it.....sometimes Santa hears these things.

We keep busy at The Station even when we're not open to the public.

The Station will be open today - Saturday, Nov 30 - from 10am til 3pm, serving coffee, cookies and Uncle Zeke's Old Fashioned Cracked Butterscotch Candy. Come by and say "hi" and have a Zeke's Killer Cookie, on the house!

The Station is officially closed for the Winter but will reopen in the Spring. I want to thank everyone who came in this past summer to support our little cafe/lunch spot. It's tough for businesses in our valley to stay open year-round and I salute those who do; they show up every day, they pay their employees to show up, they prepare their goods to sell. And some days, when it's bitter cold outside or the snow is falling, maybe a few customers will come through the doors bu...t that business owner keeps the place open, the heat on and ready to serve the community regardless. I hope you all keep that in mind in the cold months ahead and find a reason to support these business owners who are working hard to provide their service for the rest of us. Meanwhile, The Station may offer a "pop-up" cafe once in awhile if I'm in there packing candy or if Adrien feels like opening the doors for a couple hours to visit with old friends and give hugs. We'll be open the Saturday after Thanksgiving when the Christmas Fair comes to town at the fairgrounds and many Main Street businesses offer holiday specials. We'll have a big supply of our old fashioned butterscotch for sale at "special local pricing" for zekescandy.com. I hope to see you then.

This is the next-to-last week for The Station to be open this year. We're losing our two key employees at the end of this month and frankly, there's not enough business in the winter months to stay afloat. So please come in this week or next to enjoy our great coffee drinks, unique salads and panini sandwiches. We also want to thank you in person for supporting us this year. We'll miss seeing you all over the winter but we'll be back in April with more great food and drinks.

We have some yummy potato leek soup today - made from all local ingredients thanks to Modoc Harvest. Come get a taste of Surprise Valley.

How about a bowl of chicken tortilla soup today? The Station is open today until 2:00pm so come on in and warm up with a steaming bowl of yummy soup.
