It's good to see that journalist Sammy Roth has grown more circumspect with his change in employment. IID directors must strike a difficult balance, to be sure.

We don't need to thread a needle. "Judicial action" against Nike was never the threat here, and an explicit threat made for financial gain, untethered to taking the judicial action itself, is simple extortion. It's entirely fitting that this should give pause to some, lawyers and non-lawyers alike.

Folks: Please don't use panic words like "lockdown" and "quarantine" and don't pass on clickbait reporting that use those words. Governor Newsom has created a c...lusterf#ck of confusion by issuing a rushed, outdated and poorly drafted order that conflicts not only with thoughtful local orders, it conflicts with his own website and the things he says in his own press conference. Pay attention to your county and city health authorities. Stay home except for essential functions in your life. Take a walk. Read a book. Stay calm. Wash your hands. See more
