Congratulations to Chris R for winning 3rd place in the Pasadena Human Relations Essay Contest!

Our Middle Schoolers went to Congresswoman Judy Chu's office yesterday to meet with her staff about important issues that they've learned about.

On our last Interfaith Panel Day, a thank you to Mrs. Al-Sarraf and Mrs. Feldman from one of our HS students: "Thank you for taking the time each month to come in and teach us about Judaism and Islam, respectively. I learned a lot this year, and have more knowledge about Jewish and Muslim traditions, holidays and beliefs. Before this year, I didn’t know very much about Judaism and Islam, but now I have a better understanding of the two. I liked how each time you both presented on one specific aspect, and went in depth. I also liked how you both compared and contrasted both religions. Even though both religions are different, they have similarities. I think if the world started focusing more on similarities rather than differences, we’d all be in a better place. Thanks again for taking the time to teach us."

So happy to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Peace Garden at New Horizon this morning. 3 of our middle school students who play on the interfaith sports teams went to represent us.

Sue Park Hur presented to our kids after providing a Korean lunch. We love ReconciliAsian and their work.
