Teacher Spotlight #6Mrs. Sandra Cervantez! Mrs. Cervantez has called MCS home for 33 years! Her incredible connection to the school makes her work more than a jobit’s her lifelong ministry. In Sandra’s 3rd grade classroom, students are encouraged to be authentically themselves. On good days and bad, Mrs. Cervantez is there to support. She leads her classroom with compassion, making every student feel like they are way more than enough. ... At MCS, Sandra has the opportunity to instill strong character in her students. Kids in her class speak life into one another, and build each other up with their strengths. The values learned in this classroom will stick with the students for life! Both our on-site and remote preschoolers got to visit and choose a pumpkin from our pumpkin patch last week! We were blessed by Top Flavor Farms, who donated pumpkins for our children and staff. We want to make sure our children have all of the amazing childhood experiences during their time at preschool.

You can find her in our new Technology and Innovation Center teaching students, in classrooms providing tech support to teachers, coding with students on the Robotics Team, and developing bright new ideas for the future of our Science Center. Her hard work and dedication is a big reason MCS is so great! Charity cares for her students by approaching their difficulties with patience... and a calm spirit. She knows that technology can provide challenges, but she walks closely alongside students to open their eyes to the possibilities in front of them. Their excitement when they see what they can create is worth it! Creativity, innovation, critical thinking, and problem solving are all results of Mrs. Bowers suburb teaching.
