HOLA AMIGOS <3 I haven't visited this page in a while - still difficult to wrap my head around it frankly - but I didn't want to leave the most recent post as that sad news article I posted last summer... So we have nearly made it to the end of a school year without our lovely NCS. We have taken bits and pieces all over LA and even Orange Counties with us (even Merida, MX!) - as students, teachers, parents, and administrators joined or created new spaces for teaching and lear...ning. I hope everyone has found something wonderful wherever you are, and that you look back on your days or years with NCS with love and pride for all we were able to accomplish together. For those who haven't visited the ¡VIVA! Homeschool Cooperative in person, today is their Science Fair (http://vivahomeschooling.org/event/science-fair/) at 3rd & Cedar, downtown LB - brings back innumerable wonderful memories of our NCS Science Fairs. Así que casi hemos llegado al final del 1er año escolar sin nuestra querida NCS. Hemos distribuido pedacitos de NCS en los condados Los Ángeles y de Orange, con nosotros (¡incluso Mérida, MX!) - nuestros alumnos, maestros, padres y administradores crearon o se juntaron en nuevos espacios de enseñanza y aprendizaje. For 15 years, New City School has provided dual language education to any student in Long Beach. Two days! Please respond in comments here if you hoped to go to Sac in school-provided transportation but were not able to get a seat. Feel free to respond on behalf of other people, too, just be sure to CONFIRM. It is my understanding that everyone who has a seat now knows that they do. (Either up with delegation or in the big bus). Thanks!
