URGENCY REQUESTED: Next Tuesday the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors will be voting on a proposed $100 million financial assistance package to support ou...r local, small businesses. This package could potentially include cash grants and loans for Morgan Hill small businesses, giving them a fighting chance to survive the winter months until the economy safely reopens. HOWEVER, the staff report prepared for the Supervisors does not include any measure of urgency and could delay the implementation of a County Financial Program for months to come. The State is requiring regions that reach 15% ICU capacity to implement a temporary Stay-at-Home Order. Bay Area Health Officers jointly announced that they wi...ll not wait until hospital capacity reaches that critical point and will implement the Orders starting December 6. Lack of ICU capacity means that you and your loved ones may not receive the care you need if you fall seriously illwith COVID or otherwise. This holiday season, it is absolutely critical that everyone stay at home and not leave for anything other than essential activities. We’ve flattened the curve before and will do it again.
