A message from our Founder:

The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment 07.11.2020

Back in March, we shut our doors due to the COVID-19 crisis. This has been tough, since we’re a museum which is mainly funded through admissions and memberships. Recently, though, we’ve been unable to come to an agreement with our landlords, and we will have to move out of 3400 Broadway. Our collection of over 40,000 games and systems will be moved into storage, safe and sound, until we can raise the funds to create the video game museum of our dreams. ... Visit the link in our bio to find out how you can help save The MADE and contribute to the future of video game history :)

Have some old video games cluttering up your space? Well good news, we'll take them! Simply bring anything you would like to donate to our museum from noon to 4pm this Sunday, August 2nd. We will require that you wear a mask in order to donate, and all of our staff will also be wearing masks and adhering to proper safety measures. All details about what we take and what we don't are located on this page of our website: https://themade.org/donate/. All donations are tax deduc...tible as well. If you have any questions about specific things you are looking to donate, don't hesitate to reach out. Hope to see you there!

Our games are lonely! Can you help give them some love? As the only all-playable video game museum, the over 14,000 games in our collection are used to getting lots of attention. Unfortunately, this shutdown means that they’ve been feeling a little unloved lately. That’s why we’re calling on you to remind our games and our community why you love them by adopting a video game. For just $15, you can adopt a specific game from our collection! Is there a game that has a special p...lace in your heart? Show it (and the world) how much you love it by adopting it! Each game in our collection can only have one adopted parent, so make sure you snag your favorite before someone else does. You will get to contribute a short description or anecdote about why you love this game, which will be displayed in our museum in a future exhibit. Virtually every video game ever created is available, but keep in mind that we are a video game history museum, so we’d appreciate it if you chose an older game. We’ll also let you know through email if your selection has already been claimed. Don't worry, you won't have to take care of a physical game copy. This is an awesome opportunity to support us and contribute your words and ideas to The MADE! Museum visitors will hopefully gain new appreciation of your adopted game through your words. In addition, all donors will receive our eternal gratitude. Your support not only makes these games feel a little less lonely, but also helps keep The MADE afloat. By adopting a game, you help us to achieve our mission of inspiring the next generation of game developers. We know you love these games, and we want to show the world why! How to Donate: Visit our Square page at https://squareup.com//the-museum-of-art-and-digital-entert Select Adopt a Game Fill out the google form linked in the item description That’s it! If you’d like to adopt multiple games, purchase the quantity you’d like on Square, and then fill out the form multiple times. If you have any questions or issues with this process, please reach out to us and we’ll get it sorted ASAP. We appreciate your support during this time and hope that you and yours are safe and happy :)
