In the spirit of #SaveOurStages, we’re peeling back the curtain and showcasing a few #VenueHeroes that make our events happen. Meet Christina Christina has been working in our box office for nearly 15 years!... I love when a customer comes up to the window to buy or pick up a ticket, and then seeing their face light up when they know they’re about to see an artist they love perform live. That anticipatory rush is something I’ve experienced as a fan, and being able to do that for someone is the next best thing. I get to hear about the friendliness of the security team, the generosity of the bar staff, the expertise and competency of the production team - even the performance itself! Musicians and tour crew, too, will talk about how they love the hospitality of the day staff. My coworkers put a lot of effort into making every step of the live event run as smoothly as possible, and I love being part of such a functional, supportive, and loving team. It becomes routine after a while, but that moment when the music starts is definitively a clear indication that what we all came here to do is well underway. There’s a lot of energy that’s generated in a live music venue, and I miss feeling all those feelings. - Christina The independent concerts industry is in grave danger of permanent closures without federal and local aid, and thousands of people are out of work.
