Did you know that less than 2 percent of the Smithsonian's collections of more than 155 million unique artifacts and specimens are on physical display at any one time? Today, we’re giving the world a window into the vast coral reef collections from the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History. Anyone with an internet connection can access 3D reef specimens with interactive educational content. Inspect, measure, compare, and create! 3d.si.edu/corals

The Hydrous specializes in virtual learning for marine science and understanding. Our mission is to create ‘open access oceans’ so all people may explore, understand, and engage with marine environments, which are severely threatened by climate change and human impacts. You can come diving with us virtually with IMMERSE, an educational experience that is already available free-of-charge on the Oculus Store (for the Go), ViveportVideo and SamsungVR. You can also view and down...load #3d coral models we’ve collected around the world on Sketchfab. We are excited to announce that IMMERSE is now available for all Oculus devices, and we are working on providing the experience to all. Your donation will help us bring ocean science and exploration to more platforms, plus support our efforts to make our ocean science curriculum widely available and affordable. The Hydrous is a 501c3 non-profit
