To celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birthday Intermezzi, the international (digital) festival for art & music, is holding a series of online concerts starting tomorrow. We are excited to announce Philip Jung will be performing on Thursday, December 17th and Friday, December 18th. I highly encourage anyone to get online for Philip's livestream performance. It's ready! Our winter recital video will be premiering at 2:00pm (PST) tomorrow, Dec. 13th. We have lots of performers from beginners to advanced and a range of music for everyone to enjoy. Hope many of you will tune in for this event.

Happy birthday to Charles Ives, one of the most influential American composers, born on October 20th, 1874 in Danbury, Connecticut.

The study of 2000 British adults, commissioned by Yamaha, found that playing an instrument had helped them psychologically cope with restrictions on movement and social gatherings as a result of COVID lockdown measures. Of those surveyed, 86% said that playing a musical instrument had a positive impact on their mental health."
