Lou Alvarez was one of the thousands of first responders who rushed to the World Trade Center on 9/11. He worked at Ground Zero following the attacks. In 2016, Lou was diagnosed with cancer and 3 years later he entered hospice care. Hospice helped Lou continue to fight for his cause, spend time with his loved ones, and remain comfortable and supported.
