Today, The Health Trust joined dozens of fellow community based organizations (CBOs) in rescinding our membership with the Silicon Valley Organization (SVO). The SVO has engaged in a years-long disturbing pattern of racist behavior - from darkening the skin of Latino candidates on mailers, to fomenting fear about affordable housing and zoning changes, to their recent website image of black men rioting in the streets in response to a candidate suggesting changes in the police ...budget. Enough is enough. Racism has been declared a public health crisis in our county and others across our nation. The United States has a track record of historically and systemically disadvantaging certain racial and ethnic groups, especially the Black community, creating deep-seated problems that persist today. For our community to advance, we must no longer tolerate racist images, tactics, and behavior in our region. We are proud to stand with a growing group of nonprofits, businesses, and community leaders to demand systemic change at the SVO and its affiliates, starting with changes in board and staff leadership.

The Health Trust is proud to support and celebrate the BAYMEC Community Foundation’s launch of Queer Silicon Valley. This new digital exhibition and history project chronicles the culture of the LGBTQ+ community in San Jose and the surrounding area through archival documents, personal stories, photographs, and videos. We are honored to be part of this history. For over 20 years, The Health Trust HIV/AIDS Services has provided prevention and complementary care, hot meals for... clients who are homebound and receiving home health care services, nutrition services, housing search assistance and housing subsidies, nutritional planning with a Registered Dietitian, case management services and medical case management. This comprehensive continuum of care allows people living with HIV/AIDS to focus their attention and resources toward the health needs and care they require to achieve a greater quality of life.
