12 hour day at hospital for numerous tests, PET Scan and multiple specialist appointments. Miraculously cancer free as quoted by treating doctors. Mouth legions are healing slower than expected but are. All smiles after nerve racking day. Santé to the great news!

Marijke is in the final stretch of treatment. Last chemo is behind her and 3 more radiation appointments to go. Lab test have dropped a bit but stable and organ...s are good. These are the most painful weeks due to burn wounds on her neck and open sores in her mouth. The actual healing of this rigorous treatment will evolve in coming months. She is a tough lady and fighting everyday for you all. Trying to switch up her feeding with additional natural products like honey, olive oil, teas and shakes. Treatment update: Marijke's latest lab results are encouraging, Blood work and organs are very good. Weight is stable, side effects of daily radiation and chemo are getting harder on her. Tries to sleep between multiple feedings, ever growing list of medicine to fight the pain, treatment effects and Doctor appointments. The road to health and recovery is still long, look forward to the day we can raise a glass together. ... Most of you know Marijke as the owner/bartender of Harlequino - Belgium and The Globe - California. About a month ago, my 30-year partner, wife and rock, Marijke Adam, was diagnosed with stage 3 tongue cancer. Relieved to finally start treatment for my love. Difficult roads ahead, staying positive Update: Full Body Scan came back negative, cancer has NOT spread past the tongue. Great news as they will be able to pinpoint treatment with chemo and radiation simultaneous. Happy to have her home, but we have multiple appointments a week now and we need our communities help.
