Hi Friends! Just to keep y’all posted, The Garage Theatre took a couple of licks Sunday night (broken window, kicked in door, stolen safe and donation box) but nothing that can't be fixed or replaced. A bruise or two will not break us down or quiet our spirits for speaking up and standing up for those whose voices have been silenced for too long. What was most incredible about the aftermath, was the number of people who came by on Monday morning asking if we needed any help c...leaning up, or if we needed food and water. Hundreds and hundreds of people were out and about by 7:00am with brooms, dustpans, and cleaning supplies. It was so beautiful to see and will help us become even stronger, together, moving forward from here. One of the many reasons we love Long Beach is the beautiful people here who call it home and work to make it so special. Stay strong Long Beach! We Love You!!!

Hello Friends! We love you so much, and miss you even more, but right now, more than anything we really just hope that you’re all staying strong and safe and home for now. We’ll be back as soon as we can with some much needed relief for your souls and spirits. We pinky swear. Virtually for now, but it still counts. When we opened Psycho Beach Party, we envisioned a little more beach party, and a little less psycho, but this is exactly where we’re at. It's gonna be alright, l...ove! One thing that gives us all a little bit of comfort through all of this, are the ways in which we have been able to create and cultivate our unique sense of community and togetherness with you over the past 20 years. You have always had our back, and we have always done our best to bring you everything we got. It’s beautiful and amazing and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Some things will change over time, but that simple fact will not. It cannot. It’s in our DNA. It is who we are and who we’ve always wanted to be with you, and for you. We don’t know what the future looks like, but we do know that our doors will reopen and we will get through this. Together. It’s the only way. We are incredibly grateful for all of your support through the years and even more so now as we continue to navigate through all of this. Our doors may be temporarily closed, but our hearts will always remain open. We may need to lean into each other a little bit more, as things unfold, and we will. We will also offer you many opportunities for you to donate, financially and in other ways, in the days ahead to help contribute to the future and the greater good. Stay tuned. Until then, here’s a little backstage peek from the eyes and ears of Greggory Moore, on us and a couple other local theatres with some info that you may find useful or shed some more light on where we’re all at. Dear Family & Friends, I know many of us have concerns regarding COVID-19, otherwise known as the Coronavirus. Like you we are paying close attention to any new developments and listening to the experts on how best to proceed with keeping our audience and our volunteers healthy and safe. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health currently states that there is no immediate threat to the general public so performances at The Garage Theatre will take place this weekend... as scheduled. Please be aware that The Garage Theatre is implementing preventative measures, suggested by the Department of Public Health, leading into this weekend. We will be routinely cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces and objects. We will also be providing adequate supplies for good hygiene such as soap, towels, and hand sanitizers. We encourage our guests and volunteers to continue to take your own precautions by washing your hands frequently and staying home if you are ill. The Garage Theatre will be more than happy to exchange any pre-purchased tickets for another night when you are feeling better. We will continue to monitor any further developments, but until then, we hope you will come out and join us this weekend. Your love and support means everything to us and we can't wait to share this production with you.
