Last Wednesday I woke up to the news that San Mateo County was being reverted back to purple in the pandemic color chart. San Francisco County and several Bay ...Area counties took the lead by declaring a total lockdown of all businesses and a curfew from 10 pm. to 5 am. starting today Dec. 8 up to Jan 4 next year. This stay-at- home order will effectively shut us down! Fortunately San Mateo county hasn’t followed suit.What this actually means to restaurant owners is that it will be missing out on the business generated by the holidays which is as it is, the slowest period of the year!! The horizon looks dim and gloomy. However we won’t let this bring us down, We will not let this present situation defeat us! We are not here to play around. I have a responsibility to my employees who have rent, car payments, medical bills, insurance and utilities to pay in addition to putting food on the table for our families. Yesterday I asked the crew to bring out our x’mas decors, put up the tree, hung the garlands, and string the lights. The phones will be manned, the kitchen ready and the facility cleaned and sanitized, we’ll be ready to serve our valued clients who have stood by us through thick and thin. We won't let this pandemic bring us down, we won’t let it defeat us! Please stay safe and healthy! With God’s blessings we’ll all get through this soon! Merry Christmas everyone!
