After talking to the Heath Department further, we have chosen our reopening date! The Crimson Cue will open on Election Night November 3rd! After this past year with all the debating between friends, we all deserve to come together and have a beer! Per the press conference with the Governor today, indoor operations including bars and entertainment centers are being closed immediately in all California counties. Counties on the watchlist will have even further restrictions. It is anticipated as the SLO County Public Health Officer has stated that this county will be on that watchlist within the next few days. Of course this is not the information we wanted to hear, as we would prefer to be open to our customers. We are hopeful that this is a temporary measure and the state numbers will be more controlled so we can operate. We continue to appreciate your business and your respect and d support of the situation we are in.

Today Governor Newsom ordered 7 counties to immediately close bars and recommended closure in 8 other counties due to the continued and growing coronavirus numbers. So far, San Luis Obispo County has not been included in this order but the reality is that it could happen. The importance of social distancing and wearing masks however annoying or an affront to your personal freedoms, is imperative to keep small businesses going. I would rather to strongly recommend my customers to wear a mask and social distance than not have a bar at all.

Update! Water damage: the carpet has been removed and some of the walls in preparation for fixing the front entrance. More to come but we hope to be open to the public soon. We have completed our self- certification for SLO County for reopening so we are ready to go with our signage and safety equipment. ... We have purchased a commercial hot dog machine to offer hot dog/polish dogs and other food items for sale and a commercial popcorn machine so we can serve free popcorn to our customers!! We are excited to bring this back so you have more food options while you are at The Cue! Thank you all for your patience. We want to be open as much as you do and we can’t wait to see you all again!

I appreciate all the help helping me find a painter. I must have had like 20 something folks that someone told me about or offered. Very cool! I have other stuff that needs work to get done before we open up again if people need a few hours of work. I will post things that need to be done if someone is interested. Happy Monday. We had anticipated opening this Thursday, June 18. Unfortunately, when we came back to the building this weekend we discovered a significant water leak on the first floor that has been leaking for some time due to a contractor error. Our landlords at Bridge Sportsmen’s Center, Art M. Bridge and Debbie Bridge have been amazing and are working hard to help us get everything repaired. We are very disappointed about this unanticipated issue and delay in opening to the public. We will keep you updated and we will be open as quickly as possible! Thanks

WE CAN’T WAIT TO OPEN THE CRIMSON CUE! While we wait for the State Roadmap to allow gaming and bars to open, we have been busy! *We are remodeling both restrooms with new flooring and new air dryers instead of paper towels. ... *We are changing our front entrance with new flooring and paint. *We have ordered all of the compliance items we need so we can keep our customers and staff safe, including hand sanitizer stations, signage about not entering if you are sick, hand washing recommendations and masks/shields for our bartenders. *We have developed our sanitation protocols for frequent cleaning and training for our staff. We are doing everything we can to ensure a safe environment while promoting the atmosphere and fun experience you have always enjoyed.
