Last week we finished modifying our air conditioners to reduce the spread of disease and now we hear the same recommendations from CDC for car air conditioners (to a degree). The ACs are set to full external air blend, we added MERV13 filters, and added UVC light sets inside the ductwork. Extreme clean purified air.

With the first COVID peak in the rear view mirror for AV, the question becomes will we be able to model the future enough for a prediction? Right now we, with 5th and 6th order polynomial equation modeling over linear data correction, that the data will change either up or down. Sorry, but there just isn't enough data, even modeling in humidity, temperature, wind, etc. Stay safe.

By viewing our data in another method we can see Antelope Valley had its first peak around 19 April. This would be a month after the safer at home order. The peak would have been much worse and longer in duration if the order was not given and continued because infection rates have an exponential aspect to them.

Rather than a static graph, let's add a graph that is updated as new data is available. Bear in mind that around April 19, a backlog of test results is being accepted so there is a spike in data.

We have been tracking the rates of confirmed COVID-19 in Palmdale, Lancaster and Los Angeles County. The curves have not flattened yet, so keep on with your safety measures!

Ever since I was a child, the idea of meeting an astronaut seemed out of reach, then the AVBOT had astronaut Mark Kelly speak at the business outlook conference.... Now the unreal seemed to happen, I meet astronaut Sandra Magnus who later introduced me for my speech inside the California state capitol as I talked about myself, Precision Labs, how to be involved in aerospace legislation, Coolcalifornia.org, and more. Special thanks to toastmasters and Jim Allen for helping lay a great foundation. Tom Lackey and Sharon Runner even had time to encourage me before the speech. See more

Time flies but we still vividly remember when we on William Shatner's Moving America Forward a little over a year ago!

As part of the Antelope Valley Board of Trade, our CEO, Terry Norris was in the California State Capitol building giving a short speech on the importance of creating a California Aerospace Institute via AB2600. Assembly member Tom Lackey and Scott Wilk were amazing on helping us with this task.

20 years ago we built a specialized lab in our garage. Today our lobby (shown in same photo style) is larger than the original lab. Teamwork made this possible.

This week I am exceptionally thankful as I set the way back machine for TBT. This picture is as I vuilt my second calibration lab from scratch. I made the walls..., t bar ceiling, electrical, etc. Reasons I am thankful? I actually received in the mail three things which where not bills! a case of handmade cigars emblazoned with my name from the Consulate of Nicaragua; a thank you letter from Jason Manning; and a WHOLE packet of thank you letters from Rosa Fuller. To make the day even better, my speech at Shoptalk Toastmasters 8238 went quite wonderfully as I talked about the challenges of starting a business. See more

Last Friday we had a great going away party for Woody as well as congratulating our newest certified calibration technician, Erik. Overall a great time!

AIAA reception with senator Jean Fuller opening and with aerospace week proclamation. Finally had a chance to spend time with JoAnne Stewart of LAEDC and Job Defense Council. So many aerospace companies.

Assemblyman Tom Lackey was also gracious enough to listen to our concerns and offered great advice. Assemblyman Scott Wilk also met with the delegation for a while until his next meeting came up.

Recently at the NASA social at Palmdale's SOFIA headquarters, they showed a torque wrench type that can be produced in space with a 3D printer. Our Neil Gruel has been deeply experimenting himself with 3D printers and has made us a wonderful time saving device. #NASAsocial
