We are proud to share the latest work of our homeless street outreach team, One Team, One Dream, led by The SWAG and Lake Elsinore Sheriff. They have dedicated ...themselves to helping those who are the most vulnerable and have continued to work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Together, we have served 156 new individuals, with a total of 2698 engagements since August 2019. More importantly, we have helped get more than 57 individuals permanently off the streets of Lake Elsinore, Wildomar and surrounding County areas (like Lakeland Village) If you would like to join us and support efforts, we have put together a short survey where you can tell us how you and/or your organization would like to participate. Take our survey and learn more information at www.lake-elsinore.org/LEGives Be bold, Lake Elsinore! #LakeElsinore #LEGives

Just want to say that I have never been more proud of the people of my city. We're a crazy family, but we're still family. Fine men and women of the Sheriff's Department are included. Keep your guard up - I think 2020 might get worse before it gets better.

#4thofJuly: The show will be RESCHEDULED for a later date! The City has canceled this year’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular to best protect the health a...nd safety of our community. This decision was made after consulting with Riverside County’s Public Health Officer, Dr. Cameron Kaiser, who supported the cancellation. This week, COVID-19 cases hit new highs in Riverside County, and State and County officials expressed serious concerns about hospitalizations and the lack of ICU bed capacity. Yesterday, Governor Newsom strongly encouraged agencies cancel fireworks shows to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In addition, both Governor Newsom and Riverside County’s Public Health Officer Dr. Kaiser urged residents to celebrate at home and avoid mixing households. In the last week, we have had a significant increase in outside visitors interested in coming to our City to watch the fireworks, said Mayor Brian Tisdale. We have seen first-hand what can happen when our community is overrun by visitors. We have limited resources and we have serious concerns about our ability to ensure the safety of our community. In 2019, the City faced significant challenges when thousands of visitors descended on the community to see the Super Bloom. If your the only show around this is bound to happen. In addition, with the Governor poised to send out strike teams to enforce his orders, It is out of this abundance of caution, coupled with the obvious threat to public health that the City felt compelled to take this action. The City is will be providing refunds to all those who have purchased night lake use passes. More information will be posted soon to the City’s website at www.lake-elsinore.org/july4th.

Storm update (Holy Flood) With COVID a constant thought, I wanted to provide an update that will help take another concern off your mind in addition to our cu...rrent situation. For those that live in a high risk area impacted by the Holy Fire, here is an update on how our canyons are holding up with all this rain. The Public work team has been hard at work making sure all our problem areas are performing. They have found light debris in some channels, as well as and some expected flow in common areas such as: Camino Del Norte, Dexter, Lakeshore. The city is monitoring and so far so good. This is a nice soaking rain, and while we have had lots of water, we have not had the heavy hourly downpours that can cause us problems or meet our thresholds for concern. I have attached some stills from our cameras that were installed during Holly Flood in our canyons, take a look! In a time where it’s hard to find the blessing so am thankful for this good news, and proactive works done to keep residents safe. Please be safe LE!
