Today, I noticed the image of the Google doodle and much to my delight, I was intrigued. Learning about the lady represented in the doodle was enlightening and humbling for me -- myself a Black Woman Publisher of a newspaper.... How brave and single-minded Mary Ann Shadd Cady must have been to provide a Black newspaper for an audience that at the time was denied access to education - and couldn't read. Well she was also an educator - problem solved. God Bless all those (S)Heroes who took up the cause of seeing an injustice and tackling it when others simply bemoaned the situation and/or just looked away. *Encourage *Enlighten *Enrich
