Beautiful Saturday morning cruise from Encinitas to the Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial. The group enjoyed having a chance to see the memorial plaque of Henry Trulson the founding President of San Diego Woodies.

Hello Fellow Western States Woodie Club Members, After months of strategizing how to stage the Wavecrest 2020 event amid the Covid-19 pandemic, and with an abundance of caution, the Wavecrest Committee and the SD Woodie Board has come to the conclusion that we have no choice and will have to cancel this year's event. This decision was not made lightly and involved much deliberation and conversations with both the City of Encinitas and our Event Sponsors. In the end, all invol...ved decided that the risk to our San Diego Woodie Club Members, friends, and the public attending far outweighed the possible joy the weekend event might bring. We also were unable to obtain assurances from the City that they would allow the event to be staged this year. Health circumstances permitting, some of our Club Members plan on organizing a cruise on September 19th to have a venue for us to get together on the day that Wavcrest was scheduled to take place. While this will not be a Club sanctioned event we will however use our website and e-blast system to keep everyone updated regarding this cruise. Thank you for your understanding in these trying times. We look forward to seeing everyone soon and at the Wavcrest 2021 event! Sincerely, Wavcrest 2020 Committee and SD Woodies Board of Directors

Another fun outing with San Diego Woodies! The caravan of woodies cruised from Encinitas and drove up to San Elejo Hills and back down through Elfin Forest amon...gst the scrub oaks and mountain vistas arriving at our destination Hernandez Hideaway adjacent to Lake Hodges. What a beautiful day for a back country drive with nothing but woodies and breathtaking vistas in your view! See more

Thank you Scott Melcer and Nora Wright for organizing the great scenic tour from Encinitas down the Coast through Torrey Pines south to Old Town and Mission Hi...lls over the Coronado Bridge to the roundabout park a block from the Del Coronado. Could not think of a better way to spend National Woodie Club Drive Your Woodie Day! It was fun seeing all the thumbs ups all along the route. Driving these cars sure made people smile! See more

San Diego Woodies cruised the coast from Encinitas to Oceanside yesterday. it was great reconnecting with friends while still maintaining safe physical distancing. It was a great way to lift everyone’s spirits!

Thank you each and every participant and spectator that attended the 40th Anniversary of Wavecrest! Starting with a look down memory lane of the history of this event through the lens of the Wavecrest posters, to the amazing Sunsets on Friday and Saturday at the Moonlight Beach gatherings. The weather Gods were smiling down on all of us throughout the weekend! We hope all who attended enjoyed the Show! We look forward to seeing you all of you again next year!
