End of Summer Fireworks at Bass Lake Each year after Labor Day, Miller's Landing has a big party which includes a fireworks show that rivals the 4th of July show. This year the event was held on the 21st of September under a perfect sky. The echos of the explosions echoed off the canyon walls. Epic! -Darvin Atkeson

A full lake and a summer day. It doesn't get any better.

Light makes it through the canopy of pines. The dogwoods around Bass Lake begin to lose their leaves and create a pastel rainbow forest in the process. Afternoon light illuminates the leaves causing them to glow along the forest floors for a few all too brief weeks. -Darv

Distant thunder rumbled and then as the sun began to set the clouds broke up and drifted back across the lake over Goat Mountain. Sweet Pea and Lupine blooming around the lake made the sunset colors even sweeter. -Darv

Went down to get the sunset and these guys came right up to me. No fear at all. Either they like photo-bombing sunsets or they were looking for a hand out. They stuck around till Blue scared them off. -Darv

Today's thunderstorm blew in quick and left a rainbow shimmering in Bass Lake.
