We are having a field trip today! Yay!!!

The Fremont Children's Peace Pavilion was invited to set up a Vendor's booth at the 100th year celebration of the Girl Scouts of America for the Girls Scouts from Northern California area. The celebration was held at the Pleasanton Fair Grounds with a little over 20,000 Girl Scout Troops, Parents, Leaders and friends attending the celebration. We were invited as a Vendor to introduce the Girl Scouts to the possibility of coming to the Peace Pavilion for a troop field trip to... learn how they can incorporate peace into their lives and the lives of those around them and to learn of the possibilities of performing service projects for the Peace Pavilion to earn Girl Scout badges for community service. We had a great day. We took hands-on activities such as making braided peace bracelets, stamping their hands with the word "PEACE" to show they are peacemakers and the block-talk communication game....even some adults wanted their hands stamped, made braided peace bracelets and played the communication game. It was truly a blessing for all of us who participated and on top of helping the young girls have fun, the day was absolutely beautiful...mid 70's." See more
