Wonderful article about art that is impermanence, reminding me of our visits by the monks who created the beautiful sand mandalas in our gallery on campus.

One thing the internet provides us with as we are limited in travel options and art venues that are open, is to still visit virtually inspiring and unique art and artists.

Grateful to be able to announce the installation of Camouflage House by internationally-acclaimed UC Santa Barbara alum Tom Fruin at Hendry's Beach, Santa Bar...bara. Grateful to Tom for his loaning us his inspirational work and even drawing a custom coloring book page. Grateful to Art Soto and Tom Pazderka for all of their skills and efforts producing this project. Grateful to the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission for supporting art everywhere. Grateful to artist/professor Kim Yasuda for championing this collaboration and mentoring so many young artists. Grateful for the incredible public parks and open spaces here. (At Hendry’s until September, when it travels to Elings Park). County Curator Julia Rutherford Daly: Built from salvaged signage, reclaimed acrylic scraps, and welded steel, Camouflage House represents the unique role of artwork and artists in regeneration and visioning.
