Fermentations well underway!

The Blue Door Winery 21.10.2020

Cheese Happy Hour tomorrow evening at the Winery (Morena Blvd)!! Buy a glass of wine or sangria, get free cheese - not a bad deal, if I do say so myself. We also have a brand new wine out now; our new Malbec. It’s fantastic! See you soon.

We got our new patio bistro sets for Morena a few days ago, come on by to enjoy our outside seating with a glass of wine. We’re open noon - 5 today and tomorrow in San Diego.

We just got approved by the ABC for temporary outside seating at our Morena Blvd location! That means the wine and sangria is currently flowing again, outside of course! Because of our new permit we’re adding Sundays to the days we’re open. Starting today winery hours are Wednesday - Friday (4 - 7pm) and Saturday & Sunday (noon - 5pm), come on by for some vino!

Happy Birthday, America! We'll be celebrating the birth of American Independence with some delicious AMERICAN WINE, so come on over to our Julian tasting room, grab a bottle or two, and celebrate along with us! Freedom lies in being bold- and our reds fit the bill!

It's almost the 4th of July! How are you celebrating this weekend? We'll be sipping wine and enjoying the beautiful Julian weather - stop by and enjoy some ice cold sangria or our new light bodied Sangiovese. To ensure compliance with the recent orders, we require a mask to enter the establishment and will only have outdoor seating available.

A new update regarding our opening: if you’re finding this hard to keep up with, you’re not alone. So, it turns out that there’s a footnote to the order yesterday to close us. If wineries have outside seating, we’re allowed to be open in that outside area only. That means our Julian tasting room is now back open! It also means that the winery on Morena Blvd will not be open unless we can get a temporary sidewalk seating permit (working on it). So bottom line is Julian is open for business. Morena is for pickup and to go only. Times for both are in the graphic above. Man, this is a roller coaster. Cheers everyone!

Well folks, you’ve likely heard the news. Our Julian tasting room will be open today until 5pm, then after that both locations will sadly be closed until further notice. Thank you to all who visited and followed our safety measures over the past couple of weeks, your business and support has been overwhelming. So until further notice, we’re back to pickup and to go only. Our bottle pickup windows will be forthcoming. Wear your masks, wash your hands, and stay safe.

GOLDEN CORK UPDATE: And we have our 7th winner!! Congratulations to Jonathan C. of San Diego for discovering a golden cork today, nice job! Half a case of your choice awaits you upon your next visit. So by my count, that means there are still FIVE winning corks floating around out there in Blue Door world. They could be in the Julian tasting room, they could be at the winery on Morena Blvd, they may have already shipped to the far corners of the world, time will tell... congrats again Jonathan!
