We start our projects w/ a period of research -especially ones w/ historic components. Our research for our J Street Residence project indicates that the original home, built in 1898, was an American Four Square. This was a floor plan which gained popularity due to the nature of its efficient layout. Because it's a floor plan type, it crossed architectural styles (ours is between Prairie + Craftsman).
