Episcopal Church of the Epiphany

For years we’ve enjoyed contributing to our local food banks even more than usual during Advent, with the Reverse Advent Calendar concept. Because of Covid-19, some food banks prefer monetary donations for safety, but we found a hyper-local one in San Carlos that is performing live-saving work in the way of numerous resources. Please consider collecting food items or making a contribution to One Life Counseling in San Carlos, or to another organization that serves a similar role in your community.

Another way to share fresh fruit or veggies and baked goods is through the Peace Pantry at Hillsdale High School in San Mateo. Over 140 food-insecure families are being served through this program. Many of you are baking these days how about sharing some of your home-baked bread, muffins or cookies? If you have a fruit tree, you could gather up apples to share. Put your offerings in small bags that can easily be handed to families as they drive by for their food pick up. Financial contributions are also welcomed.
