Update on our reopen status: LA County popped above the 7.o adjusted rate.. So we have to drop back to 7.0 or lower and then hold that for 2 weeks before we qualify to drop to the next tier and we can reopen Please wear a mask, social distace, don't go to gatherings with people outside your household. Good news for all my Friends in Japan!

We were closed back in March due to Covid-19, we were allowed to reopen for a few weeks in July and were closed again. At this point we don't know when the state will let us reopen since that is dependent on the numbers of infections going down. But we are scheduling free Zoom or Duo consultations, so we can be ready to get working once we can reopen. If you are interested in a Free consultation, email [email protected] to set one up. ... I got a fun surprise in the mail today. @photodianne sent me prints of photos she took of me in the early 90's. The first 3 were all taken at the Chicago tattoo Convention in '93 and the last one was taken at Ink 4 Life tattoos in Ypsilanti Mi. Wacky to see myself without the facial tattoos, my face looks so bare to me. The guys in the photos are Jason and Scott, I lost touch with both of them ages ago. I did many of their tattoos back then including the Charlie Brown stripes... and the teeth going around Scott's collarbone. As well as some work on Jason's shin. 29 years ago this month, I started tattooing. First it was grapefruits, then it was my friends who were kind enough to let me learn on their skin. Little by little I gained my skills working at shop after shop, some good and some bad, but all part of the journey that has brought me to where I am today. I am grateful for all that tattooing has brought me. I have made so many good friends while tattooing. I have laughed with my clients and at times I have cried with my clients.... This career has brought me so much closer to my fellow humans. I have learned so much personally. both from my fellow artists and from my clients. I have also improved my personal art with what I have learned in while designing tattoos for my clients. Thank you Tattooing for making my life full. Even tho I can't tattoo right now due to the pandemic, I am excited to get back to making pretty pictures on people's skin.

The answer is.... as soon as we get the numbers down! To do this we need everyone to... -wear a mask -wash your hands -socially distance 6 feet or more... -do not attend gatherings with people you don't already live with. If you want to reopen, you need to do the things to help control the virus and bring the numbers down. See more

Well it looks like we are closing again. We knew this would happen with the numbers as bad as they are. Lets hope this gets people to Stay home and Mask up to get those numbers down. And when we all reopen again lets hope people take precautions more seriously. We'll be contacting those with appointments shortly to hopefully reschedule at a later date.

For all those I've tattooed who I may have caused some slight discomfort... My old boss 'Mad Jack' at Body Basics in Chicago way back in '96 tattooing my hands. Yes he's wearing gloves.. They were just pink... And smelled like Bubble Gum!!! R.I.P. Jack

HOME.... This is the first time I have stepped in my shop since March 15th. And yes, I cried when we opened the door. We still can't open, Tattoo shops aren't aloud to open yet. But today I am cleaning, doing inventory and making some changes to better suit a world with Covid-19. Making sure that as soon as we can reopen, we will be ready.... We've had many people asking when we're re-opening Tattoos by Misha. Barber Shops and Hair Salons have opened and since we're in a salon, many people thought we may have re-opened as well. Unfortunately, we still can't. Right now NO tattoo shops can be open legally in the entire State of California. If you are being told differently, they are wrong. As soon as we know, we will announce the day we are re-opening. Also, even if the state of California says its o.k for tat...too shops to open, both the County of Los Angeles and the City of Los Angels have to give their consent to open. We'll be emailing clients who had previous appointments that had to be postponed due to Covid-19 Stay Home orders and then the clients who are on the wait list to get in. Hair Salons in L.A. may be able to open next week. This does NOT include our Tattoo Studio. Even though we're in a Hair Salon. We're still closed. Hopefully open by the end of June.
