COVID-19 Release Tarzana Treatment Centers', Inc. (TTC) services are deemed essential by both the state and local governments. We encourage all our patients and anyone that has been considering substance use or mental health treatment to continue their path to better health. TTC is committed to providing quality health care to the community and at this time is not cancelling any services to patients at any of our agency sites. Dispensing of medications for addiction treatmen...t, intakes and admissions, individual counseling, case management, group sessions, inpatient and residential admissions and transfers are all continuing without interruption. We have developed procedures to minimize the risk of possible exposure to patients and staff by following and adhering to guidelines from the CDC and Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (DPH). We are also taking full advantage of providing patient services via telehealth and telephone. Outpatient services staff has access to video conferencing for any patient that chooses to avoid traveling to our facilities. TTC has also decided to temporarily cancel 12-step meetings, patient outings, and all visitation by families and others to inpatients and residential patients. While we understand the inconvenience that this may cause some individuals, these are necessary steps that help to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities and among the community. Given this situation is evolving daily, we expect to provide future updates. If you have questions, please contact us at 800-996-1051.

August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day. Thanks to the California Department of Public Health for the content below with important information and links: International Overdose Awareness Day is Monday, August 31st. The aim of this global event is to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related deaths. It also recognizes the grief felt by families and friends and remembers those who have died. Most important, International Overdose Awareness ...Day spreads the message that the tragedy of overdose death is preventable. Thousands of people die each year from drug overdose and they come from all walks of life. Things to consider: Do you recognize the signs and symptoms of overdose and know how to respond? Do you keep naloxone, the overdose reversal drug, in your medicine cabinet? What is the impact of drug use and overdose on family, friends and those experiencing it? Syringe services programs throughout California will recognize this day with activities that mourn, but also celebrate the resiliency of our communities. The true life savers of the overdose epidemic are people who use drugs, their friends and families, who save lives every day by administering naloxone and are on the front lines of the work to end overdose and stigma.
