Public Notice Well Abandonment The City of Mountain View is proposing to abandon three (3) existing wells - Well 10 (near Rengstorff Avenue and Central Expressway intersection), Well 17 (at Rengstorff Park) and Well 20 (near Alice Avenue and Moorpark Way intersection). These wells have been out of service for a few years due to mechanical issues and low production. The proposed work consists of abandoning the well infrastructure and appurtenances along with the restoration ...of the well surface. Construction is anticipated to start in late summer 2021 and complete by the end of 2021. Staff will be bringing this project for City Council approval of the design plans and specifications, and authorization to bid for construction on TUESDAY, June 22, 2021, starting at 6:30 p.m. For more information on the project, contact Senior Civil Engineer Jason Chou via email at [email protected] or by calling (650) 903-6329.
