Taqueria La Venganza

My first commercial way back in 2015... Four years later and we've consistently beat out any competition that arises, but this time I really need your help to keep a vegan taco as Los Angeles' best. Traveling alone via public transportation to three different cities, making waves in each one... My social life and finances take a personal hit... They're back !!! Starting off 2019 at @missionbarsa in Santa Ana with vegan tripas (a SantAna favorite), asada, chicharron and beet chorizo! Starting at 7:30pm! Tacos, nachos, and chili! And remember we'll be at @themermaidla in LA on Sunday with a full menu!

We're back at @missionbarsa tomorrow in santa ana with tacos, nachos, and chili!! Then Sunday we're back at our January residency @themermaidla (chili cheese fries y'all) now all I gotta do is find a bar in Oakland with a kitchen... Anybody? Anybody?.. maybe on a Thursday? (I'm trynna collapse from exhaustion.)

Tomorrow we're taking over @themermaidla 's kitchen at 5pm, we'll be making tacos, burritos, taquitos, chili cheese fries, and nachos! All vegan of course...it's also Bowie karaoke night, so come thru, drink and sing with me!

Vegan mac cheese w panko topping and beet chorizo. This Sunday we'll be at @themermaidla from 5pm till sold out... tacos, nachos, chili cheese fries, burritos, fun times, Bowie night on karaoke and booze, lots of it.

Finally!!!! After many many attempts to apply at LA food events and being denied (smorgasbarf), the good people at The Mermaid have offered to host us every sunday for the month of January!!! We'll have tacos, burritos, asada fries, taquitos, Mac n cheese, ramen, whatever the hell I want and always vegan! Starting this Sunday from 5pm til sold out! It's also Bowie karaoke night! Come thru this weekend!!!!

Charred Shoyu ramen made with a white shoyu tare and an all roasted ingredient broth, topped with chashu shitake, onion, roasted garlic, sauteed bok choy and a homemade roasted sesame paste/oil it's a little too sweet for my tastes, so I need to balance the right roasted ingredients. Tomorrow we're at @missionbarsa at 8pm with cheezy vegan nachos and chili to warm you up!

This Thursday we're kicking off 2019 at @missionbarsa !!! Cheezy Nachos and chili (yes I'm finally gonna make it)! Starts at 8pm! I'll post our pop-up schedule soon but for now come thru on Thursday and warm yourself up with a cup of our award winning chili!!!

Coming in 2019... If Taqueria la Venganza was my demo tape, then this is definitely my first full length album... I'm excited, I haven't felt excited in a long time... I've learned so much since starting out on the sidewalks of Oakland 2015, I've been through many ups and downs but at the end of the day what I know I love about this is bringing original ideas and concepts into the world ... I've never had the money to scale up, ever since my father died, all my savings went t...o stabilizing my family life... I made enemies with the "vegan" Hollywood rich kid (erryone w influence in LA knows him) that owns the vegan influencers/vegan "beer" festivals and they basically did everything they could to bring up my competition... Every pop-up I've encountered since then I tried to give advice to, alot of vegans turned their backs on me and I realized that I can't rely on the vegan community (they're too insular) so I broke out, stopped going to vegan events and made it all the way to taco madness (thanks L.A. TACO ) I'm amazed at the omnivores and the POC that now make up a majority of my customers... I'm proud of where I am and don't regret a thing, I've stayed true to myself and true to you... My followers and customers. I've taken my one man show pop-ups up and down California for a reason... I want to change the way you think about food. Have a happy New year everyone. See more
