2020 BLESSINGS While 2020 proved to be unpredictable for all, tragic for many, an inconvenience for most and all around a WTF kind of year, I am truly counting the unexpected blessings that came with it. It is true that God makes beauty from ashes.... What I am grateful for this year are the many relationships in my life, both new relationships as well as old relationships that have been strengthened. I am SO GRATEFUL for this girl right here, my best friend from 4th grade. Sarah and I spent every waking moment together. We did cartwheels everywhere, practiced doing the splits always, sang Wilson Phillips songs and made up routines to every song that basically consisted of cartwheels and splits. Literally the best memories. We weren’t able to go to the same Jr High and HS but always tried to maintain contact. As life happened, we went longer and longer periods of time without talking. But it never mattered how long because every time we reunited, it was like no time had passed at all, including last weekend when we connected again. I catch myself being sad that we didn’t stay in better contact over the years, but then I remember, we have our entire future! 2020 has taught me to give more effort to relationships in my life because life is short. 2020 has taught me that it’s never too late to be a better friend. GOD WAS LAUGHING I just know it. I know He was laughing when I met my soul sister 4 years ago.... We met, we liked each other, we remained acquaintances over the following years. I respected what she stood for and she respected what I stood for. LITTLE DID WE KNOW God was building a foundation. God knew, together, we would do BIG things. In August, we joined forces and our lives are changed because of it. 10 DAYS UNTIL THE NEW YEAR Wow, 2020 really took us by storm, and I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to take 2021 by the reigns! IT STARTED WITH YOU 13 years ago, today, you lefttoo soon. Prior to you, I had a fear of dogs, all dogs.... There was really no reason in particular that this fear existed, perhaps it was a fear of the unknown as I had never had a dog growing up. After all, don’t we often fear the things we don’t understand? I DECIDED TO FACE MY FEAR I liked what I read about your bullmastiff breed. You were said to be loyal, protective, docile and only barked if absolutely necessary. It turned out all of these things are true. FACING YOUR FEARS will get you far more than you could ever bargain for. You were only here for two short years, but you made difference in how I face my fears. BODACIOUS, you taught me more than I can ever express and more than anyone could ever comprehend. You were the start to many more bullmastiffs I have had since you and each one has brought me a new spirit and joy and in each one, there is always a little bit of you. I hope you are playing my boy, getting ALL of the walks you desire and until later, I love you, always. WHERE DO I START? Since I don’t know where to start, I’ll just start at the start. Here are the first two ladies I ran into upon arrival to Cabo on Thursday.... @realkristiebelliston to my right, is my Director, but wow, that feels so impersonal to say because she is so much more than that. Kristie is authentic, she is genuine, she is beautiful both inside and out and I am so blessed to call her a friend. @how2withhollie to my left is my Advanced Executive, and again, that feels so impersonal to say. Hollie is one of a kind. She makes every person feel like the most important person. Her spiritual gifts are to love on people and to find the positive in EVERY situation. And I am blessed to also be able to call her my friend. Yes, these are my people. This is my circle. I talk with these women every day of the week on Zoom calls, and met them for the first time in person this week in Cabo. It’s surreal to think that because I said yes 4.5 months ago, my world has changed...correction, mine and my husband’s world has changed. My circle has changed and so our future has changed. And while I can’t say I was scared when I said yes to this opportunity, I can say I was completely unaware of the blessings ahead. Today I am fulfilled, I am energetic and I am dreaming bigger than ever. These are only two of the women who are a part of this life-changing experience, and I’ll introduce you to more over the next couple of weeks. I HAD NO IDEA I had no idea what I was signing up for. I saw the business opportunity and said, sign me up.... I UNDERSTAND BUSINESS I KNOW A GOOD THING WHEN I SEE IT But I had no idea what I was actually signing up for. God has opened up so many opportunities because I SAID YES to this one opportunity. Dreams that I have had for years, and yet had shelved, are now coming off the shelf and into fruition! HALF YEAR OLD These two peas in a pod celebrated their half birthday a few days ago. I still don’t know what we were thinking keeping two pups from our litter, but now I couldn’t imagine not having them both in our pack!... Bodie takes after his daddy Beef in that he is chill, loves to nap and loves cuddle time. Bailey is just like her momma Bonita in that she likes to know what you’re up to, gets bored when Bodie naps too long and is our self-appointed protector. DON’T BE YOUR OWN HATER When you are your own hater, that is the difference between being a dreamer and being a visionary leader. When you’re a dreamer, you have a lot of great ideas, but you never really follow through on them, because it’s just that, a dream.... You let what other people might think get into your head. Will they judge me for stepping out in faith? Will they judge me for not getting a real job? Will they judge me because I’ve failed before? Here’s the reality, what other people think of you is none of your business. And, you also need to get over yourself because people don’t even think about you 1% as much as you think they do. They just don’t, so even if they have criticized you, let them criticize you and just move on, because they already have. But when you’re a visionary leader, you don’t just dream, you talk about what is going to happen in the future and you spend the next year, 5 years and 10 years plotting your exact course of action to get there. YOU SET YOURSELF ON FIRE AND LET THEM WATCH YOU BURN You don’t have the time to waste even giving your criticizers a second of your time thinking about what they think of you. Anybody who criticizes you is afraid to go after their dreams! is afraid you will actually make your dreams come true! THEY WILL JUDGE YOU ANYWAY, SO DO IT ANYWAY A visionary leader doesn’t just hold on to the dream for a day, or a month, or a year. A visionary leader will hold on to a dream UNTIL IT HAPPENS. SO BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE AND NOT YOUR OWN HATER. If God has put a dream in your heart and vision in your soul that you can almost taste, DON’T STOP UNTIL YOU GET THERE.
