Hi, we're giving away an AWESOME kids Quip electric tooth brush to new kid patients when they come in for teeth cleaning. Kids should be getting check ups around 3 years old. We're super gentle and know how to take care of kids here, and adults too! And dental PPO insurance usually covers 100% of the teeth cleaning and exam fees. See more details here, https://www.sweettoothcare.com/new-patient-free-quip.

Flossing Facts Are you tired of hearing your dentist tell you that you need to floss more? There's a reason we're so passionate about flossing! Just like brushing your teeth twice a day, flossing is absolutely critical to dental health. Let's talk technique Tear about 18 inches of floss and wrap it around one of the middle fingers. Wrap the rest of the portion of floss around the finger of the opposite hand. Floss wrapped on the opposite finger will retain the food partic...les removed during the process. Tightly hold the floss between thumbs and your fingers and then gently direct the floss towards the teeth using a gentle rubbing motion but make sure not to push the floss directly into the gums. Once the floss is at the gum line turn the floss around the neck of the tooth to make a C shaped curve. Move the floss slowly into the area between the gums and the teeth Floss should be retained at a position firmly against the tooth and then smoothly start rubbing the floss gently against the tooth and start sliding the floss away from the gum in an upside and downward motion. Follow the same steps for each tooth not leaving aside the backside of even the last tooth of both upper and lower arches. Here's another way to get kids to brush and floss that might be fun for them. And it may help them follow a routine for school days too. We have a daily check list for kids and one of the items is brushing and flossing. And if they do all the items on their list, we usually reward them at the end of the week with a book or movie night. And to make it a little more fun, our office will chip in with a free kid's Quip electric toothbrush when the kids does their checklist for two week. Just PM us when they're done and we'll set it aside for you. We only have 4 left, so please understand if it's no longer available at some point in time. Go here to download the kids check list, https://www.sweettoothcare.com/articles/kids-checklist.

We've been using Solea Laser almost two years now, I figured I should tell everyone what does it do! It is a high precision laser that cuts hard and soft tissue. Now geek language aside, instead of using drills, we use the laser beam to do cavity fillings. No more shots, 95% of routine procedures are done without anesthesia shots. I love using it on little kid's baby teeth, because it works really well. Small children are usually afraid of needles, now we can usually skip that. And because we no longer need to numb the mouth, parents don't have to worry about kids biting their lips or tongue. I can't believe I'm so excited over air filters!!! We just got our AC system installed and added HEPA MERV Level 14 air filters. These air filters are used in hospital surgery rooms. They keep running out of stock on this, so I'm happy we got them. We're constantly stressing out and trying to improve the safety of our office for everyone that steps into our practice.

How Teeth Serve as An Archive of Life Our teeth say more than we realize. Much like the rings in a tree's trunk, our teeth share our history. In an NYU study, researchers found that by studying teeth, you can reveal things from pregnancies and illnesses to incarcerations and menopause. Soft Toothbrush Benefits While some prefer hard bristled toothbrushes, they can cause serious damage to your teeth and gums over time. In fact, hard bristles toothbrushes are becoming harder and harder to find. Take care of your oral health with a soft bristled toothbrush which gently removes plaque, causing less harm in the long run. Ask our team about your best bristle choice on your next visit. Time to Switch Out Your Toothbrush Hey you! It may be time to switch out your toothbrush. As much as we might wish toothbrushes could last forever, in reality after a few months their bristles lose stiffness and lose their effectiveness. After three months of use, your toothbrush is likely ready for the trash & needs to be switched out for a new one that is sturdy and strong. #dentaltips #toothtips #toothbrushing #dentalhygiene

Hi, It's been 3 weeks since we re-opened. First, we're all safe and healthy, both the patients and staff. I think it's really due to following all the CDC and ADA guidelines, so thank you all for dealing with the changes. Here are some of the additional safety measurements we added along the way. We're constantly watching and trying to improve things.

What happen with our first week re-opening? Well, we were finally to start seeing patients again last week. It was both exciting to get back to taking care of people and nerve wrecking to make sure we ensure all safety precautions are followed. It's good to see all our patients are feeling well and healthy. And happy to be able to chat with other people besides my kids for a while. Here's how our office looks like now. We got HEPA compliant air filtration system everywhere, suctions for aerosol and disposable covering on all chairs and more. See picts.
